The service started at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London, and was held to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community, as well as the British and Commonwealth veterans, allies and civilian servicemen and women from the two World Wars and other conflicts. In order of precedence, the Duchess of Sussex was joined by the Countess of Wessex and Sir Timothy Laurence on one balcony.
