This is the fourth year the Duke and Duchess have attended the event. Prince William is President of the Academy; this is his tenth year in the position. The role was passed to him by the Duke of Edinburgh, who was named president of the organization in 1959. He presented this year’s Fellowship Award to American film producer Kathleen Kennedy.
