A SOS children's Village

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited  Aldeas Infantiles (SOS Children's Villages Center) in San Loranzo del Escorial in Madrid. The SOS Children's Village comprises 12 family houses, the house of the Village Director, offices and a community building. In San Lorenzo de El Escorial there are two public schools and a hospital. SOS Children’s Villages is an international non-governmental development organization devoted to supporting children in fields like individual care, education and health. SOS Children's Villages has been present in Spain since the late 1960s and currently works with families and children in eight locations on mainland Spain and in the Canary Islands.
