An event was organized by PlanBørnefonden at Nærum High School in Copenhagen on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child 2020. The Girls' Day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, and promote girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. PlanBørnefonden is Denmark's largest privately funded children's rights organization and celebrates Girl's Day with various events. Crown Princess Mary together with Danish young people at the Nærum High School met with digitally with young women from Uganda and Ethiopia, who are currently being challenged by a lack of food, money and schooling.
